Petaluma city officials are now scrambling to figure out how to move forward with the Petaluma Creamery. The business paid more than $800,000 out of the $1.4 million in unpaid fines yesterday. City leaders were prepared to close down the business if the Creamery did not pay the fines off by yesterday’s deadline. City Manager Peggy Flynn said that they still owe unpaid wastewater capacity fees and permit violation fines, but officials will meet this week to discuss the next steps.
